Words and pictures
We use words to describe pictures, concepts, models, and experiences. They are imprecise and open to interpretation. Remember the Telephone Game where a short story is repeated from person to person and at the end nothing like its beginning?
I have for years tried to explain the dance between impedance, voltage, current and all things electrical using just words without a lot of success. Then, a kind reader sent me a great little cartoon that summed it up with a single glance.
We don't need a deep understanding of Ohm's law to listen to stereo or to choose equipment, but it sure helps to have an idea what's going on.
