The importance of AC power

It's always fascinating to me reading people's comments on how the AC out of the wall doesn't matter to sound quality. Their logic is simple. In every audio product AC power is converted to another form, DC. Whatever condition the AC began with doesn't matter since it's converted to the new form.

Ingredients don't matter? I wouldn't try and pass that logic off on a chef.

In fact, the quality of our AC power has a great deal to do with the eventual musical output of our amps and preamps. Consider that at the proverbial end of the day everything we listen to is processed AC power.

Changes in the beginning have a way of making their way down the chain.

Power cords, AC regeneration, regulation, and full AC sine waves matter.

Whatever you start with has a noticeable impact on the end product. For those of you still skeptical, I would encourage you to take the time to experiment and see for yourself.

It's well worth the time and effort to cut through the haze of disbelief.
