A friend of mine sent me a link from the Washington Post. I clicked it and was informed that while the article was a gift, they require me to sign up for a "free" subscription in order to read it.
The hustle.
It is no longer possible to use an increasing number of programs that I have relied upon for years without a subscription. This, despite the fact I have previously purchased those programs. Adobe and Microsoft are notorious for this behavior.
The hustle.
Regardless of how pretty the bow it is wrapped in or how big and legit the company may be, at what point does it make sense for them to abandon their original value proposition and join the ongoing hustle?
I get that I am nothing but a cog in the machine. We all are.
The ongoing hustle makes me appreciate even more our little high-end audio industry. Small, passionate, and committed to the notion that something matters other than just counting the number of cogs on the wheel.
Thanks for listening.
