I suppose in each of our systems we keep some sort of score. A ranking system, if you will.
"My pride and joy is my loudspeakers. Someday I'll upgrade my amp."
You might not think you do this but I'd be surprised if you didn't. In fact, in all the setups and systems I've seen over the years, there's always been one or two prized pieces of gear that gets shown off and a few lesser ranked pieces too.
I think this is absolutely normal.
