There will always be a soft spot in my heart for the album cover. That 12.375" square piece of printed cardboard that tells the story of what's inside and perhaps gives us a clue as to what to expect in the music.
Remember the White Album? Even that faceless collection of cardboard was something worth holding onto while listening.
A CD or SACD cover pales in comparison.
And, an iPad?
I suppose the same thing applies to reading a book on my Kindle vs. holding the book in my hands.
Times are 'a changing but strong memories are hard to lose.
