When it comes to figuring out what gets us to where we want to go with our HiFi systems, where's the best place to draw the line?
Is it when the image clicks in and we are magically transported to the musical event?
Is it when we finally get the tonal balance just right and that missing low end finally rattles our world?
I don't think of the HiFi journey as a line in the sand or reaching the mountain top. Instead, I see it more like a staircase or rungs on a ladder. Each new height brings wonder and joy.
I live with the music and the magic until it becomes the new standard for me. And then I am ready to continue my journey.
Like the different plateaus reached and ages lived throughout our lives, each step along the path of building an amazing system is just part of the journey.
Along the way I am always hungry for more to uncover and experience.
The end goal is to keep the magic fresh.
