When an outsider takes a look at our stacks of equipment and big speakers their reaction is often a head shake and a tongue click. "Wow, this is crazy".
And I get it. Even a receiver and a pair of floor standing loudspeakers is crazy compared to a little Sonos or Amazon Echo.
The thing is, anyone immersed into a specialty field is likely to be considered crazy. Just think of how much stuff a journeyman mechanic has, or a chef, a gamer, homebrewers, photographers, woodworkers, and artists to name a few.
Crazy merely means out of the ordinary and who wants to be ordinary when it comes to the enjoyment of music?
