It’s easy to poke fun at self-proclaimed experts, yet I don't know of an audiophile university handing out degrees.
Some of the best minds in audio never needed a degree to make groundbreaking contributions. What they had was hands-on experience, relentless curiosity, and thousands of hours of trial and error.
Of course, the internet has no shortage of loud voices claiming expertise with little more than a forum post and a strong opinion. That’s fair game for skepticism. But dismissing those who’ve spent decades listening, designing, and refining simply because they lack a formal title?
That seems a bit counterproductive.
Here is to those who share their knowledge and experience by posting on forum posts, in chat rooms, on YouTube, and through whatever means of communication are possible.
