The stars shine only at night

If you're lucky enough to spend the night away from the city lights you'll be immersed in the wonders of the stars blazing brightly. It's a breathtaking sight.

The thing is, it doesn't happen only at night. That starlight shines just as brightly during the day. We just can't see it.

And so it goes for things unseen but still there: distortion, flat topped AC sine waves, ultrasonic hash, slewing, mismatched impedances.

When a loudspeaker's impedance dips so low as to strain an amp or reduce level at that frequency, it might be invisible to us but we sure can hear the difference.

Best to make sure the equipment you use has all the I's dotted and the Ts crossed for performance and sonics.

Otherwise, you might find yourself chasing imagined gremlins when all you really need to do is turn off the lights to see the stars.
