I have written this blog for nearly three years without missing a single day.
I was terrified I wouldn't have anything to write after a week, or that no one would ever read what I managed to write. Yet here we are. Your readership means a lot to me.
But perhaps more than anything I just love to write. I love to tell stories, communicate and compose.
It occurred to me this morning that a musical composer does the same thing I do, only in a different language. Authors compose with words, composers with notes.
Words playback to form images, further our understanding of the world and connect us with the mind of the author.
Musical notes playback in our heads telling stories, forming images and connecting us with the composer.
Perhaps it can be said that both music and literature connect us together with the authors and composers in a very unique and personal manner.
Each of us has the ability to compose our own symphonies: perhaps not with notes, but certainly with words, written or spoken.
What's yours sound like?
