Simply an opinion

A recent finger wagging poster on YouTube wrote the following:

"Everything that's done in the name of hifi should be done with 1: workings 2: stated engineering facts and specifications 3: A-B listening. Otherwise, statements made about improvements are simply opinions."

Hard to argue with the first three statements but then we get to the conclusion.

Should we build HiFi systems that please a predefined set of robotic parameters like those generated by GPT Chat?

Or, are we building systems that tickle our human emotions and form our ever-changing opinions?

I get that the poster was making the case that derived facts outweigh formed opinions but I would respectfully disagree.
