RMAF 2017
We do our best to set up a decent listening room at one or more of the consumer audio shows. It's great to meet everyone, renew friendships, make new ones.
My favorite is the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest (RMAF) because it's in our backyard and easy. We'd someday like to expand to Chicago's Axpona but so far there aren't any rooms big enough for our system. Sigh.
This year was one of my favorites. There, we had the Focal Sopra No. 3 loudspeakers, REL subwoofers, MG Audio cables, DMP, BHK 300s and Signature preamp, twin P20s, and DirectStream DAC to round out the mix. The sound was wonderful and I had many a proud moment walking into a jammed room accepting high fives from repeat and first-time visitors.
As I often do, I spent a couple of hours on Sunday with my trusty video rig and interviewed Jeff Rowland, said hi to Richard Vandersteen, Garth Powell, Luke Manley, Jason Serinus, Mark Schifter, and a host of others. The 16-minute long video covers a lot of ground, shows off a ton of equipment and the main items of interest are all labeled so you know what you're looking at.
This is also my first video post in 4K, so those of you interested in higher quality videos might appreciate the extra effort.
In any case, it's a fun video of an exciting audio event and I hope you enjoy it and share it with your friends.
