Behind the scenes

I am always surprised by the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes. It can take days, weeks, often years to prepare a product for public release. There's a great 3 minute video you can watch as crews prepare the Metropolitan Opera House. But it's not just opera houses with backstage flurries of work: movies, plays, software development, audio equipment—all have amazing levels of backstage work that occurs before the public gets a taste of the final product. A great example is unfolding on our forums right now. After a year of hard work the BHK Preamplifier is in the hands of the beta testers and open for public scrutiny. The engineers, designers, support managers, hand-crafting artisans, all wring their hands in hopes of acceptance. And like the playwright on opening night, the fruits of their labors lay naked for public inspection. Truly a gut wrenching moment.
