Isn't that what it's all about?
When we decide to use FETs vs. BJTs, low feedback vs. high, direct vs, cap coupled, split gap drivers versus traditional, planar vs. domes, or whatever new idea comes our way, we're looking to wring out a few more emotional moments from the music.
It's a dance between the tried and true and the new steps that just might connect us closer to the music.
How much more emotion can we squeeze out? I suspect there's an endless bucket of emotional nuance and revealing qualities that await the more adventurous among us.
Just as you probably don't want to eat the exact same meal three times a day, it's good to venture out and taste some of the new emotional fruits of technological progress.
