Looks are important.
I think it might be entirely possible to tell a book by its cover. If the author didn't pay much attention to the cover what kind of attention might she put into the words? And the same could be said for Hi Fi gear.
I am going to put forth the idea that looks matter more than many of us would like to admit. That it makes a difference in not only our buying decisions but also our long term enjoyment of a piece of equipment.
Who wants to look at an ugly box?
The next time you find yourself struggling between product choices, I certainly would not feel bad leaning in on the better looking one.
