Do our high end audio systems have a soul?
Mine certainly has a character or a flavor to it and, sometimes, I think it has a mind of its own.
But a soul?
"The soul is an immaterial aspect or essence of a living being that is believed to be able to survive physical death."
Ok, here's what's interesting. The soul or sound of music played on my old system of BHK 300s and the Infinity IRSV live on in my memory as being very, very different than the soul, feeling, experience of my current favorite system consisting of BHK600s, and Aspen 10s, 20s, or 30s.
And someday that system will change as well and its soul will live on in my memory as well as the memories of the hundreds of visitors that grace our hallways and enjoy the fruits of Music Rooms 3 and 2.
So if a soul is something that lives on after its physical existence does not then yes, I think our systems have a soul.
