Standing on the periphery

Tackling the challenge of changing people's minds is not only daunting but in all likelihood a futile exercise. When I think about the number of times I have actually swayed someone from one way of thinking to another I come up with a big fat goose egg. Yet, I continue to spend my time and energy educating and reaching out to people: not to change minds but in the hopes of helping those standing on the periphery of change along their journey. We learn and grow when we're ready. Change comes when we seek it. My goal in these daily missives, YouTube rants, podcasts, even my upcoming book, are all in an effort to be there with information, guidance, and to lend a helping hand when it's needed. I know that in my own quest for knowledge I am appreciative of those willing to spend their time bringing me needed lessons and walking me through the often complex world of new information.
