The rear panels of the PS Audio Power Plant series have three main elements:
On the rear panel of the PS Audio P300 Power Plant, there are four hospital grade AC outlets, on the model P600 there are eight hospital grade AC outlets and on the P1200 there are 4 hospital grade outlets and four Neutrik Power Con outlets. These hospital grade plugs are manufactured by Arrow Hart electronics. They feature full surface area prong grips, extra tension hold, and are manufactured out of solid brass, then nickel plated. 
Should you discover that the supplied AC outlets on your model are not sufficient for your needs, PS Audio makes a very high quality extension box called the Power Slice. It features 6 additional receptacles.AC Inlet The rear panel of the P300 Power Plant has a single high quality IEC AC inlet, that houses both a master power switch, and a fuse, in addition to the AC inlet. The P600 and P1200 have a rear mounted fuse and a rear mounted IEC inlet or Neutrik PowerCon connector depending on the model. Video pass through The PS Power Plant is completely surge protected as well as lightning protected. In order to make certain that your audio video system is completely isolated from the outside world, and thereby protected from surges and lightning strikes, we have provided a video pass through (on the P300 only) connector on the rear panel. 
The P300's video pass through connector consists of two CATV gold plated connectors for your TV cable, VCR, etc. and a gas discharge protection device, internal to the Power Plant.By connecting your cable TV through this pass through arrangement, you will be protecting your AV system from the possibility of damage due to an electrical storm. Ground Binding post The rear panel of the PS Audio Power Plant has a ground binding post. This post is available for two purposes:
What about 220 volt models? All our products are available in 220 volt to 240 volt. We have different back panels to match your needs. Most of these units are available only through your country's distributor, or directly from us in the cases where we have no distributor. 
Export models of Power Plants are more expensive than domestic models. This is because the plugs on the back of the unit are more expensive, and because the internal equipment necessary to produce the higher voltages are more expensive.Ground isolation is the ultimate for best sound . If you are in a position to properly incorporate an outside ground stake, the binding post feature on the Power Plant can make a huge sonic difference. That is because, unfortunately, the ground on your AC outlets has noise and hash on it just like the AC signal itself. While the Power Plant will completely clean up the AC signal as advertised, it cannot touch the ground. For safety sake, we must leave the third wire ground connected to our equipment. 
PS Audio and the Power Plant provide a solution to this problem, by allowing you to isolate the ground on the four AC outlets, located on the rear panel of the Power Plant (by removing an internal jumper), and then reconnecting the, now isolated, ground binding post to an outside ground stake that you install. |
