"Well, the new HCA-2 amp just showed up.
It sounds WONDERFUL. Very fluid and musical. Also lots of detail. More detail than I am used to. The piano is so rich and vibrant. Even TUBE LIKE!!! The David Belles 88 preamp and the HCA-2 are a monstrous step up in musical involvement from the Sim Audio Class A intergraded. With the Sim, the setup sounded good. With the HCA, it sounds musical and involving. I am really quite shocked with how well these two pieces sound, and with these speakers. I really did not think I would hear much difference with the old Genesis 700s and 900 subwoofer by adding a new amp and using my standby preamp. Boy was I wrong.
I am very happy. I could live with this for a long time. At least until the Classic comes out!
But it will not heat my bagels! Can’t have everything.
