Power is a complicated subject and we at PS Audio want to do our best to uncomplicate it for you. What do all the terms used in describing AC power mean and how might one make an informed judgment between competing products?
To help answer these questions, we have spent months putting together this comparison chart for you. Each of the terms used to quantify the performance features and benefits of manufacturer’s units is defined and easily accessed with a mouse click.

The measurements and results we have listed below were compiled from a combination of the manufacturer’s own specifications or, when unavailable, we purchased units and made the measurements here in our own labs. We cannot guarantee the test results will match every manufacturer’s own criteria nor are these updated to reflect changes in any product’s design or performance. These should be used as a general guideline only. Contact the individual manufacturer for any specific details.
